Committed to a vision of “inspiring minds, building futures”, it works to provide fun and engaging learning opportunities in an environment that inspires.
Taking advantage of the absence of students during the summer holiday break, the school commissioned Washroom Fit-Out Company to complete a washroom refurbishment project that would support this vision as a modern, vibrant space that would be welcoming, safe and practical for all its students.
Rudheath Primary Academy needed this specific facility to align with the school’s other recently refurbished washrooms.
As a flexible partner capable of supporting clients during any phase – be it from scratch or in executing already established designs – we worked closely with the school’s team, taking the time to understand their plans in meticulous detail.
In line with the existing design of the school’s washrooms, we set about ripping out the existing toilets while also taking down the previous partition wall between two separate. Full height washroom cubicles complete with matching pilasters and vanity access panels were then installed across the back wall of this single, larger area, creating a more open, inviting space.
Different colours were used for the partitions and IPS access panels in each cubicle to create a striking rainbow effect throughout the washroom, alongside a series of premium satin stainless steel fittings and fixtures.
Facing the cubicles, two high quality, professional dual-user bespoke Corian wash troughs were installed in both corners of the room – these modern, multi-user basins can accommodate heavy traffic and reduce wait times for users while also being extremely robust.
To allow these centrepieces to shine, neutral vinyl flooring and white walls were installed. The entrance to the washroom was also enlarged, improving access and traffic flows while allowing the teachers to better monitor the room. And all the plumbing, lighting, and electrical works were carried out by our team, rounding off a complete turnkey solution that provided the client with peace of mind.
Working closely with the client throughout the project, we were able to deliver the final washroom they had envisioned. The use of space was completed transformed by the optimised layout, while the installation of modern solutions and addition of the exciting rainbow-led colour scheme added a fun look and feel.
Ultimately, the school now has a contemporary, sleek washroom that is not only practical for its students, but aesthetically stunning and built to last, in time for the start of the school year.
“Not only did the Washroom Fit-Out team take the time to listen to us – they also went the extra mile in every aspect of the refurbishment. It’s amazing to look at the before and after pictures. We’re incredibly pleased with the end result of washroom. It’s exactly what the school and its students needed”
